Here is an exploration that was not planned, a real surprise, an abandoned temple! Near an abandoned hotel that you can discovered here, we noticed a gigantic gilded statue. This statue was located in an abandoned area and we finally discovered a Kinkaku-ji temple, totally isolated and apparently abandoned. According to our investigation, the temple was abandoned at the same time as the hotel, in 1997, due to the desertification of the geographical area. This magnificent golden statue of about thirty meters represents a Bodhisattva. A beautiful unforgettable surprise.
