The Dutch Pavilion

The 2000 World Expo, with the Netherlands Pavilion designed by the studio MVRDV, was the first World Expo in Germany and was held from June 1 to October 31, 2000 in Hanover. The goals was to achieve an exhibition with visions for the future and models for the balance between man, nature and technology. The pavilion structure was characterised by six different overlapping concepts of landscape. Designed as a temporary structure and destined to be demolished at the end of the event, many years later it is still standing but in a state of total neglect.
