The Sjögunnarsbo sanatorium located in the west of Sweden in the Ulricehamn Municipality, part of Västra Götalands county, has been abandoned for several years. Built between 1914 and 1916 by the architect Ivar Tengbom, a well-known Swedish architect in the early 20th century, the place included many top modern facilities like an X-Ray machine. Unfortunately, the treatment proved ineffective, 50 percent of the patients deaded within five years.
