Hotel Ambasador opened in 1972 and was a large hotel in the village of Plat. The hotel had nine floors and 302 rooms with a beautiful view of the Adriatic. After Croatia declared independence from Yugoslavia in 1991, Hotel Ambasador were permanently damaged in an offensive by the Yugoslav Army.
