Lundin Hospital — Abandoned Hospital in Denmark
The visual exploration of Lundin Hospital in Denmark reveals an immense medical complex frozen in a striking post-apocalyptic atmosphere. Numerous windows, particularly on the ground floors, are heavily boarded up with wooden panels, while the old metal signage once used to guide patients to various medical departments still stands in the middle of the overgrowth.
Inside, the journey unfolds through a literal labyrinth covered in a carpet of shattered glass. These devastated corridors nevertheless retain very distinct color codes, offering stunning geometric perspectives: one passes through rows of pillars and doors in a deep blue, or former departments (such as oncology) adorned with wide neon green wall stripes and yellow frames. While most of the treatment areas have been stripped of their equipment, a few rooms fully tiled in white still house long stainless steel sinks, bathed in a light turned greenish by the foliage obstructing the windows. Ultimately, the wear of time blends with urban vandalism, as evidenced by the large graffiti on the greyish exterior walls, including a very cinematic message—”BRING IT ON ZOMBIES!!!”—which perfectly captures the atmosphere of this relic.
