Asahara Ophthalmology Clinic

Nearsighted or farsighted, here is a forgotten place that might just strike a chord with you: an abandoned ophthalmology clinic, no less. A little gem located near a very busy road in Chiba Prefecture, Japan. We carefully explore this unusual derelict spot, where every single corner feels like a fragment of history to be studied. Aside from the phoropter still standing there, a wealth of equipment remains—such as vials filled with fluorescent liquid, syringes, medication galore, and various medical documents. Another abandoned house sits right next door, which almost certainly belonged to the ophthalmologist, but it is in a much more hazardous state, as the building has partially collapsed. There is little doubt that the abandonment of this place stems from the passing of this man or woman, with no one left to take over the practice
