Avalos Alba Ski Resort

No more snow, no more holidaymakers. Here we are in a ski resort that has been abandoned for several years now. Built in the 1970s, the resort quickly went into decline due to unfavorable weather. With snow becoming a rarity, people naturally turned to more attractive and reliable resorts. Currently, part of the resort is still inhabited, but our interest lies in exploring the main hotel—this massive, derelict concrete carcass that used to be the flagship establishment here. You could once find a cinema, restaurants, a supermarket, a gym, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, boutiques, and sports shops; in short, it was the nerve center of the surrounding area. Inside, the scenery amounts to shards of broken glass, frozen escalators, and endless corridors. There is nothing else of interest; the rooms are completely bare, reduced to a raw shell. A few years ago, an auction was held for the hotel, but it failed to find a buyer. Right next to the abandoned hotel sits a derelict ski lift being swallowed by weeds. A truly strange atmosphere.
