Balmoral Hotel — Abandoned hotel in the Walloon Region

Hidden on the heights of Spa, in the province of Liège, the Balmoral Hotel still stands with its imposing facade. Built around 1910, this vast establishment has had quite a unique history. After its high-society heyday in the last century, the building was purchased by a bank and transformed into an exclusive holiday resort for its own staff. But all good things must come to an end: in the early 2000s, the bank sold it off. Left with no buyer or new project, the hotel simply closed its doors, never to reopen again.
