This Austrian sanatorium, founded by two doctors, Hugo Kraus and Arthur Baer, was built in 1903 and abandoned since 2002. It was famous but now, the place is damaged without really interest. During many years, the sanatorium was used for patients suffering from tuberculosis and was requisitioned by Nazis in April 1938. The sanatorium was used as a factory with the goal of raising the birth rate of “Aryan” children by the organization “Lebensborn e. V.”. Lebensborn encouraged anonymous births […]
Here we find an empty sanatorium, built for Professor Paul Spillmann in 1899. A few years later, the property was enlarged thanks to a donation from a generous benefactor. After the death of the founder, Dr. Paul Spillmann, in 1914, the sanatorium was named Paul Spillmann. After a lot of damages during the war, the sanatorium was restored and opened again in 1924 with a new capacity of 130 beds. In 2006, the services were transferred to a bigger hospital […]
We found an hospital with several abandoned building in Denmark. It remains nothing inside and the place has been vandalized. We were happy to discover the morgue which remains well preserved, still very clean. The place is a real labyrinth, you could easily be lost. #24 Exploration d’un hôpital abandonné au Danemark. #urbex #roadtrip2016 #abandoned #hospital #danemark Une photo publiée par An Abandoned World ☢️⛔️⚠️ (@urbexsession) le 25 Juin 2016 à 5h57 PDT #24 Hôpital abandonné au Danemark. Exploration of this abandoned mental hospital in Norway with beautiful massive buildings. This place was shut down in the mid 80`s, the politicians don’t know what to do with these buildings. There are a lot of rumors about this place, like lobotomy and abuse of patiens. Many people are convinced that this place is seriously hunted. In the center of Bratislava, we found this huge hospital, built in 1937 and now abandoned. At the beginning, the building was dedicated to the insurance. After it was used as an hospital until its closing in 2008. This hospital is on Bezručova street, near the St. Elizabeth´s Church, known as the kitschy Blue Church, a beautiful place in Brastislava. #12 Immense hôpital abandonné en plein cœur de Bratislava, déjà une dizaine d’années à l’abandon et que l’endroit est devenu […]

A long exploration in this huge abandoned hospital. A beautiful place with a large theatre room and a wonderful church which remains in near perfect condition. It was a seminary before to be used as an hospital.
Exploration of a big sanatorium, a place for the care and treatment of people who are recovering from illness or who have a disease that will last a long time. Just near the medical part of this center, we found a beautiful castle with a lot of administrative papers. The castle was used for the management of this place.
This asylum is huge with a lot of buildings. It was a little complicated to explore it because some buildings are still used by a firm. We had to be careful and be very discreet. The best place to see in this asylum is the theater. We can definitively find place like that only in Italy.
In a village of the Languedoc-Roussillon region, we discovered this old hospital abandoned since the 1960s. We had no idea of what we will discover because we did not see any photos from this place before. From outside, the hospital seemed to be very old, no doubt, the place was abandoned. By a hole in the wall, on all fours, we came inside with no difficulty. This was the oldest hospital that we discovered. Inside, a little disillusion, it remained nothing. Second disillusion, we found nothing about the […]
During a Sunday afternoon, in a quiet little town, we visited an abandoned clinic. It was no possible to go inside without climbing the wall. We had to be careful to the neighbours and the cars. Concentration, silence, action and reaction, we are inside this clinic which was abandoned since the 2000s.
One of our best explorations, this asylum is a museum of the old medicine. It remains a lot of things. The architecture of the place is beautiful with its corridors. It was a pleasure to walk in this abandoned place without vandalism. To go inside the asylum, it was quite dangerous using the basement on all fours.
This mental hospital opened in 1930 and closed its doors in 2002. Through its corridors, it remained clothes from patients and a mock up of the asylum.
A never ending road in the mountain, with bends in repetition, this abandoned sanatorium is isolated. This wonderful place, surrounded by trees and sheeps and weedy, is empty and cleaned, not much interest inside. It is difficult to imagine the place during its useful life. We enjoyed the view and the fresh air. The last patients left the sanatorium in the 1960s.
Located in the heart of an Italian city, we found this huge asylum. Just arriving on the place, the facade was already disturbing. After a speed check around the building, we discovered a discreet entrance, we got rapidly into the asylum. Inside, old wheelchairs, old beds and other accessories were also disturbing, an impression to be in the 1970s. The place is big with high ceilings and corridors are nice. Many years ago, the place was a convent. An Italian […]
This abandoned asylum includes several buildings each bigger than the one before. During a storming and raining day, we explored this place with an heavy atmosphere. The place is huge with big rooms. Artists gave a new soul to the asylum with a lot of beautiful graffitis. Some buildings are still used. There are few things from the activity of the place except wheelchairs.
